SIBLING DISCOUNT Explore Center offers a 5% sibling discount.
WRIST BANDS On the first day of camp, identification bands will be placed on the wrists of each camper. These wrist bands will assist staff in quickly identifying children that are part of Explore Center’s camp. Please do not remove this band from your child’s wrist until their camp is over.
PARENTS For your child’s protection, it is extremely important that your emergency information is up-to-date. Please make sure that camp staffs have the correct phone numbers to contact you.
CAMPS HOURS Unless otherwise stated, camps operate between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. If needed, before and after Camp Programs are offered. Please contact us for specific details.
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP Please send your child with a water bottle, lunch, snack and extra clothing. All camper items should be personally labelled.
LOST OR STOLEN ARTICLES Explore Center is not responsible for any damages, or the loss or theft of any personal property brought into our facilities. Campers are encouraged to leave valuable items at home.
CAMP STAFF Camp staffs are carefully selected based on their former experiences working with children, along with their display of enthusiasm, strong leadership skills and sound judgment. Qualifications for staff members include: • Pre-camp training sessions; • Current Emergency First Aid Certificate; • Satisfactory Police Check (16 and older).
WITHDRAWAL & REFUND POLICY 48 hours notice prior to start the classes is required to receive a full refund minus $50 administration fee. Please note that pre-registration is required for weekly rate. If we cancel your program, you will receive a full credit or refund as requested. There are no refunds after classes have started. There are no refunds for any classes missed. Missed classes can't be accumulated as a credit for the next session.
MEDICAL INFORMATION Health and safety are priorities for Explore Center. Please ensure your child’s information is accurate by completing the medical information portion on your Registration Form. Campers who require prescribed medication at camp require a signed Medication Dispensing Form. These forms are available prior to and during camp from the Camp Supervisor. Medication must be prescribed by a physician and must be stored in original containers only. They will be kept in a locked box in the camp office. If your child develops a communicable disease during Camp (e.g. Pink Eye), we ask that you inform staff immediately. This will allow Explore Center to inform other participants so they can take the necessary precautions.
TOILETING Children must be fully toilet-trained to attend all programs that do not require parent/guardian participation. These programs do have washroom routines, although it would be helpful if you could take your child to the washroom prior to the start of the program.
CLASS CANCELLATION If not enough people register for a course, it will be cancelled. If your course is cancelled, we will contact you and help you choose a different course to take that session. We will issue you a full refund within four to six weeks if an alternative is not found. To help avoid this kind of program cancellation, please register early.
* We reserve the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule classes on holidays and P.A. Days or special event days. Prices subject to change without notice. Schedules may vary seasonally and based on demand.
